Who we are
K9 Cleanup Inc (K9 Cleanup, we, us) provides residential and select commercial yard services, including dog waste removal, lawn care, and snow removal, in Edmonton, Beaumont, Leduc, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and St. Albert (the Service Area). Our goal is to keep outdoor spaces clean, safe, and easy to enjoy year-round.
Scheduling and access
Service days and times: Service is completed during our operating hours and on the scheduled route day for your area. Because routes and job lengths vary, exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed. Access required: You agree to provide safe, unobstructed access to the service area, including unlocked gates, clear pathways, and any entry instructions needed to complete the work. Pets: For everyone’s safety, dogs must be secured indoors or kept away from the work area during service, unless they are friendly and can be safely kept under control away from our equipment.
Weather and safety delays
For safety and quality reasons, service may be delayed, modified, or temporarily paused due to severe weather, extreme temperatures, road closures, unsafe site conditions, or other events outside our control. If this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate updates and reschedule as soon as conditions allow.
Service standards (what to expect)
We aim to provide thorough, professional service on every visit. Dog waste removal: We remove visible dog waste from accessible areas. Some waste may be missed when it is covered by snow or ice, hidden in tall grass, blocked by debris, difficult to see due to poor lighting, or inaccessible due to gates or obstacles. Lawn care and snow removal: Results can vary based on weather, site conditions, and property layout. We will complete services using industry-standard methods and reasonable care.
Customer responsibilities
You agree to: Keep the yard reasonably free of hazards such as broken glass, needles, aggressive animals, or unsafe structures. Mark or disclose hidden hazards such as sprinkler heads, low-voltage wires, fragile edging, or items that may be damaged by equipment. Maintain the grass at a reasonable height and have it cut before your waste technician arrives. Tall grass can hide waste and may prevent us from locating and removing all waste during the visit. Notify us promptly of any concerns, especially missed areas, so we can address them quickly and fairly.
Pricing, billing, and payment
Pricing is based on the service selected and, for dog waste removal, is typically based on the number of dogs and the service frequency. Invoices are due on receipt unless otherwise stated in writing. Late fees may be applied to accounts more than 10 days past due. Accounts that remain unpaid may have service suspended after 2 months. If an account remains unpaid for 3 months without contact or payment arrangements, the account may be turned over to collections.
Cancellations and changes
Dog waste removal and lawn care: You may cancel at any time. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid charges for a scheduled visit that has already been routed or assigned. Snow removal (seasonal): Snow removal runs from November to April 1 and is billed monthly. If cancelled before service starts for the season, a $35 cancellation fee applies. If cancelled after service has started for the season, a $179 cancellation fee applies.
Service issues and rework
If you believe an area was missed or service was not completed as expected, contact us within 48 hours of the visit. We will review the concern and, when appropriate, schedule a return visit or provide another reasonable remedy based on the situation. Grass height note: If the grass is longer than 2 inches at the time of service, we will not schedule a return visit for missed waste, as the yard is considered overgrown and not in compliance with Section 5 (Customer responsibilities).
Property damage
We take care while working on your property. If you believe we caused damage, notify us within 48 hours and provide clear photos when possible. Our responsibility is limited to direct damage caused by our team, and does not include normal wear and tear or pre-existing issues.
Health, waste handling, and disposal
Dog waste is bagged and disposed of in accordance with local guidelines, including disposal at the city eco centre where applicable. We handle waste responsibly to help protect your household, your pets, and the community.
Liability limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, K9 Cleanup is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits or loss of use). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service visit that gave rise to the claim.
Communication
You agree that we may contact you by phone, text, or email regarding scheduling, service updates, billing, and important notices. This is also a safety requirement, as our technicians may need to contact you directly for urgent access issues, pet safety concerns, or on-site hazards that require immediate attention.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will apply to future services after it is provided to you or posted, and continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
